Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed (Xbox Series X) – A tiny review

After per-ordering this game, I eagerly anticipated its release date, so when it arrived fired up my Xbox (Series X) that evening and after an update, started playing.

The thing that immediately struck me was the sort of cartoon style graphics that I wasn’t expecting, and certainly fell far short of what the XBox is capable of (just look at Modern Warfare 2 for example), which left me a little torn – I was wrapped up in the Ghostbusters tunes and visiting the HQ (I am a massive Ghostbusters fan), but also a little deflated that it didn’t look that fantastic.

Anyway, on to the game – smashed through the tutorials quickly and got to the main game. Playing with a few random people on-line. Initially I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but it was very short lived. The few levels that are playable seem too small, and they come round again too quickly.

Unfortunately at the moment, I”m in no rush to play it again at the moment, which I feel is a real shame.

My advice to you is to try it out, say at a friends house, first before committing. You may feel like I do: a little bored of it after only a few hours.
